Information in the app

Information in the Times Tables app

The app uses a technical user ID to save progress and connect results to the correct profile. You may choose a nickname and avatar for the leaderboard and social features.

The app uses PostHog for limited, anonymous measurement of fixed app flows and technical error reporting. Session replay, tap recording, automatic screen capture, GeoIP, user profiles and identification are disabled.

Names, email addresses, class codes, friend codes, individual calculations, a child’s answers and individual learning results are not sent to PostHog. Analytics is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking or sale, and processing is configured for the EU.

  • Results, times, mistakes, streaks, achievements and trophies.
  • Chosen nickname and avatar if you use the leaderboard.
  • Friend connections and notification information if those features are enabled.
  • Technical information needed for secure operation and synchronisation.

Always use a nickname for a child. Do not enter the child’s full name in the profile.

Apple data categories

Apple data categories

Apple displays a short, standardised summary of the app’s data practices. The current App Store declaration includes these categories:

Data linked to you

Identifiers: User ID for login, synchronisation and app functionality.

Data not linked to you

Usage data: Game results, progress and interactions needed for the features you choose to use.

This page explains the categories in more detail and covers features added since the original policy.

Website and online game

Online game without an account

You can play for free on the website without an account. When a full table is completed, we record a random submission ID, time spent, number of mistakes and whether the completion was flawless. This is used for anonymous aggregate statistics.

We do not store each answer from the 81 fields, and an online completion is not shown as a personal leaderboard profile.

Cookies and analytics

You control analytics cookies

Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights load only if you allow analytics. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and can always be changed through Cookie settings at the bottom of the website.

Analytics is used for aggregate visitor statistics and speed measurement. We do not use analytics for targeted advertising, and if you choose necessary functions only, the measurement tools are not loaded.
